Bite Me: A Love Story Review
Christopher Moore is a genius. His whit and imagination are always what keeps my nose to the pages. Creative and yet his terminology makes you feel as though you are living within his stories. When a book makes you laugh out loud to yourself and read paragraphs to your friends because you want to share the humor, you know it is worth reading "Moore".

Bite Me: A Love Story Overview
The city of San Francisco is being stalked by a huge shaved vampyre cat named Chet, and only I, Abby Normal, emergency backup mistress of the Greater Bay Area night, and my manga-haired love monkey, Foo Dog, stand between the ravenous monster and a bloody massacre of the general public.
Whoa. And this is a love story? Yup. 'Cept there's no whining. See, while some lovers were born to run, Jody and Tommy were born to bite. Well, reborn, that is, now that they're vampires. Good thing theirs is an undying love, since their Goth Girl Friday, Abby Normal, imprisoned them in a bronze statue.
Abby wants to be a bloodsucking fiend, too, but right now she's really busy with other stuff, like breaking in a pair of red vinyl thigh-high Skankenstein® platform boots and wrangling her Ph.D.-candidate boyfriend, Steve (the love monkey). And then there's that vampire cat Chet, who's getting bigger and smarter—and thirstier—by the minute. Abby thought she and Steve could handle the kitty cat on their own, mais non . . .
Before you can say "OMG! WTF?" Tommy and Jody are sprung from captivity, and join forces with Abby, Steve, the frozen-turkey-bowling Safeway crew, the Emperor of San Francisco and his trusty dogs Lazarus and Bummer, Abby's gay Goth friend Jared, and SF's finest Cavuto and Rivera to hunt big cat and save the city. And that's when the fun really begins.

The first two books of this trilogy gripped the reader from the get go. This one doesn't.
I gave it a shot. But between the tiresome recounting of what happened in "You Suck" and the annoying vocal mannerisms of Abby Normal, I couldn't finish.
A series stretched too far - CrawlingChaos -
I'm a huge fan of the author and loved the first two books of this series. This time around I did not find myself enjoying the book as much, mostly because of the constant narration from Abby Normal. A character that was great in small doses in the prior books takes center stage in this book. Christopher Moore has perhaps written this character too well as Abby comes across like one of the many annoying teen girls who are are in the Goth-but-still-likes-cute-things phase. It is still fun to read and I wholly recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the first two, but I hope this is the last we see of these particular characters. Maybe it's time to return to Pine Cove?
Funny, but not as good as the others. - R. Bullock - Phila, PA
I like Christopher Moore. He's funny, he's imaginative, and he seems like a really cool guy. When I say he's funny, I actually mean he's hysterical.
I REALLY enjoyed "Bloodsucking Freaks" and "You Suck." "Bite Me" is as funny, but seems to lack something that the previous two have. I wish I could pinpoint what exactly that missing ingredient is, bu I can't quite put my finger on it.
Despite the "missing flavor" that I seem to be bothered slightly by, this is a fantastic book, and a very funny and well-written end to the story of Tommy, Jodie, and Abby Normal.
